DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
"Designing Infrastructure, Constructing Excellence, and Engineering the Foundations of the Nation"
🏢 About Civil Department
Established in 1982, the Department of Civil Engineering at Indira Gandhi Polytechnic offers a premier, comprehensive three-year diploma program. Civil Engineering is traditionally recognized as a foundational pillar of engineering, focusing on designing, constructing, and maintaining our physical infrastructure—including roads, bridges, dams, and buildings. Our department emphasizes practical, industry-aligned education to successfully bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world construction practices. Backed by experienced, highly qualified faculty members and state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure, we prepare competent technicians ready to serve public and private sectors.
